Customized report templates tailored to our hospital needs and requirements
Seamless interface with OCR, EMR and all other devices used in cardiology department
Severance Hospital was the pioneer of modern medical sciences in Korea, first established as Kwang Hye Won in 1885 by Dr. Horace N. Allen, a missionary doctor. Cardiovascular Hospital is one of Severance’s specialized hospitals, and is recognized as No.1 in coronary-artery bypass surgery for ischemic heart diseases. It’s also highly acknowledged in the fields of pre-transplant (heart, lung, etc) testing and evaluation.
The Hospital operates four departments (Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery and Cardioanesthesia) and has many advanced medical infrastructures such as a coronary care unit, an intensive care unit, and a telemetry unit.
We met up with Professor Dr. Ho Yeon Woo from the Division of Cardiology to ask him about the benefits of using INFINITT Cardiology PACS and the reason behind choosing INFINITT over other vendors.
Q: Tell us why you chose INFINITT as your PACS vendor.
A: INFINITT has incredible product development capabilities. Unlike many other vendors, INFINITT reflects the needs of each hospital and market in its product development plans.
Q: What would be INFINITT Cardiology PACS’s biggest strength?
A: I think the biggest strength is its specialized Viewer and its report templates. We’re especially happy with the customized report templates tailored to our hospital needs and requirements. Also, INFINITT Cardiology PACS can be used from anywhere within the hospital network because it’s a web-based solution. And of course the fact that it interfaces seamlessly with all the other devices in the Cardiology division is another strength.
Q: What do you think differentiates INFINITT from other vendors?
A: I think it’s their strong R&D and IT support resources. INFINITT has a lot of service engineers so they’re real quick to trouble-shoot and follow-up on our requests. They continue to update their solutions and they have abundant OCS, EMR-integration experiences which also make them stand out.
