Shortened waiting hours and reading time from real-time image access
Improved diagnostic accuracy from various 3D features
Irion Animal Hospital is a premium veterinary hotel, beauty spa, day care center, and general hospital all-in-one. The hospital consists of medicine, surgery, and radiology departments, and it collaborates with local and global veterinary teaching hospitals to provide top-class medical services. In the Cheongdam branch only, 16 veterinarians look after more than 2,000 dogs and cats every year.
We asked Dr. SungJun Won, the radiologist at Irion Animal Hospital, why he has chosen to adopt INFINITT Vet PACS and about the changes experienced since the adoption.
Q: Why did you choose the INFINITT Vet PACS?
A: I knew that out of many local/foreign PACS vendors, INFINITT was the strongest in its product stability and service responsiveness. I also liked the many features provided by INFINITT Vet PACS especially the 3D features.
Q: Could you elaborate on the features that you found especially useful?
A: Well, the viewer and hanging protocols optimized for radiologists are very easy to use. And an incorporated 3D solution enables us to easily and quickly utilize various 3D applications. Also, INFINITT Vet PACS is a web-based solution so we can access images via web which is especially convenient when conducting joint treatment plans with other animal hospitals.
Q: What has been the biggest change since the adoption of INFINITT Vet PACS?
A: It usually takes a lot of time to screen animals even if they’re well-trained. But with the adoption of INFINITT Vet PACS, we can now view the DR images on the monitor in real-time which greatly accelerated the overall reading speed. Being able to read the images from multiple angles using 3D features improves the reading accuracy as well.
Q: How do the customers feel? Are they happy?
A: Yes, the customers are especially happy about the shortened waiting hours. And they also like the fact that they can discuss treatment directions with the doctor while looking at the images of their pets on the monitor.
