INFINITT Healthcare, an award-winning provider of imaging and information management technologies for healthcare, announced the signing of a 10-year partnership agreement with Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH), a 323-bed hospital and research center dedicated to pediatric and adolescent healthcare.
SCH, located in the state of Washington, U.S., is the primary teaching, clinical, and research site of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, School of Medicine. The hospital has been ranked as one of the nation’s top children’s hospital consistently, and received high rankings for ten specialty areas including nephrology and oncology by U.S. News & World Report. Moreover, it has wide-ranging referral sites in hospitals in Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.
Under this partnership with SCH, INFINITT will install its next generation vendor neutral archive, the INFINITT Healthcare Platform (IHP), in the hospital. The platform is a centralized archive solution that integrates data in various formats across specialty PACS. By supporting standard interfaces, the solution is able to manage both DICOM and non-DICOM objects. In addition, it provides Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) capability for archived data.
“In addition to improved workflow and radiologist toolsets,” said David Smarro, CEO of INFINITT North America, “we expect the INFINITT Healthcare Platform to greatly improve access to images and reports at Seattle Children’s, and beyond that to its extensive referral network.” “With immediate access to patient information in a centralized archive, Seattle Children’s referring physicians should be able to make well-informed care decisions in a shortened time span. And consolidation of systems will simplify IT infrastructure and reduce costs,” he added.
INFINITT Healthcare is a global provider of medical imaging and information systems. Being founded in 2002 and listed on Kosdaq in 2010, the company is driving the advancement of healthcare IT by delivering its award-winning products and services to 3,500+ healthcare institutions in more than 44 countries through its global business units and distributers.
