INFINITT Healthcare Corp. announced on 18th that the company successfully passed tests in the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Connectathon in China.
IHE Connectathon is an international event where healthcare IT vendors test the interoperability of their products with other vendors in a structured setting. It is a chance to examine if the products are compliant with international standards such as DICOM (Digital Imaging Communication in Medicine), a standard for the medical imaging management, and HL7 (Health Level 7), a set of international standards for transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare vendors. Products which passed the tests are certified of their interoperability and compatibility with the respective standards-based technologies.
A source at INFINITT says, “We are pleased that we produced a successful result in China, following the triumph in the U.S. IHE Connectathon in last January,” adding, “In China, passing tests at IHE Connectathon is required for distributing products to hospitals in the country. We expect that we would gain momentum in sales in China through this successful outcome.”
